Successful Organization of ‘Theatre Workshop’ at Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyapith (Boys) High School by Little Thespian

Kolkata, 11th August 2026 : A one-day ‘Theatre Workshop’ was organized today at Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyapith (Boys) High School. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with the renowned Hindi theatre group ‘Little Thespian’ under ‘Theatre-In-Education’ (TIE).
The workshop was directed by Uma Jhunjhunwala, President of Little Thespian. Md. Asif Ansari, Gunjan Azhar, and Heena Parvez also played a significant role in making this workshop successful.
The objective of the workshop was to introduce students to the fundamentals of theatre and to aid in their personality development.
During the session, students learned about theatrical games, voice and body exercises, improvisation, and the nuances of stage acting. Ms. Uma Jhunjhunwala spoke to the children about overcoming stage fright, building self-confidence, improving communication skills, and the importance of teamwork.
The school teachers said that such workshops are very essential for the holistic development of children. Theatre is not only a medium of entertainment, but it also helps develop qualities of discipline, empathy, and self-expression in children.
A large number of students participated enthusiastically in the workshop. All the teachers of the school also extended their full cooperation to ensure the smooth conduct of the workshop.
At the conclusion of the program, the school family expressed gratitude to Little Thespian, Uma Jhunjhunwala, and her entire team.
